Mobile 5G broadband railway router with optional Wi-Fi 5 Wave 2. Compliant with EN 50155.
5G
Wave 2
Wi-Fi with 1.7 Gbps
The router supports 5G with download speeds up to 2.4 Gbps and 500 Mbps upload speed. Where 5G is not available it offers LTE Advanced as a fallback position. When using two 5G modules, the bandwidth is even doubled to up to 4.8 Gbps. Four SIM sockets per 5G interface offer multi-provider support or least cost routing.
The multi-user MIMO (4x4 MU-MIMO) according to Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 enables even faster surfing. This increases the previous maximum throughput to 1.7 Gbps with four streams per module and when used simultaneously in the 2.4 and 5 GHz range (dual-band mode) up to 2.3 Gbps. The wireless access point is backwards compatible with the Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac for older end devices and a longer range.
Single radio version with 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz standard. 802.11ac Wave 2 uses the 5 GHz band and is backwards compatible with 802.11n with 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz for older end devices.
The integrated ultra-wide-range power supply is fully compliant with EN 50155, Class S2 and tolerates interruptions of up to 10 ms. As an option, power can be supplied via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+).
For long backbone distances daisy chaining can be applied by bridging two Ethernet interfaces eliminating the costs for external switches.
Easy-to-use web interface for easy remote configuration of the router, monitoring of settings, and for installing updates. Maintenance and monitoring of the devices via remote control systems are also possible with SNMP and shell scripts.
A configurable firewall protects personal data of client devices against unauthorized access (client isolation) via multi-level client/AP isolation and supports the secure and interference-free data exchange with the Internet. Unauthorized access is prevented both to end devices that have dialed into the same access point and across devices to end devices that are logged into different Westermo Eltec access points.
The 5G router is designed according to the international standard EN 50155. Components have to meet the strictest environmental requirements, e.g. an extended temperature range. In addition, they must be resilient to shocks and vibrations.
