Railway 11ax Wi-Fi access point with integrated compact antenna from HUBER+SUHNER for optimized small cell communication. Compliant with EN 50155.
Fast Wi-Fi
Integrated antenna
4.8 Gbps
Easy-to-install, compact device with SENCITY® Rail ACTIVE antenna from HUBER+SUHNER without visible cables and connectors for a sleek, elegant look. Ideal for setting up Small Cell solutions with multiple access points in the car for significantly increased data throughput per passenger. Redundant Wi-Fi networks increase operational reliability.
The highly integrative solution limits the number of RF cables in the train and losses through the RF cables are reduced to a minimum. In addition to the data connection, a single Ethernet cable also handles the PoE power supply.
The multi-user MIMO (3x3 MU-MIMO per Wi-Fi interface) according to Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11ax enables even faster surfing. This increases the previous maximum throughput to 3.6 Gbps with three streams per module and when used simultaneously in the 2.4 and 5 GHz range up to 4.4 Gbps. The wireless access point is backwards compatible with Wi-Fi standards IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac for older end devices and a longer range.
Dual radio version with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz standard. 802.11ax uses the 5 GHz band and is backwards compatible with 802.11n with 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz for older end devices.
Power is supplied via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+).
Easy-to-use web interface for easy remote configuration of the access points, monitoring of settings, and for installing updates. Maintenance and monitoring of the devices via remote control systems are also possible with SNMP and shell scripts.
A configurable firewall protects personal data of client devices against unauthorized access (client isolation) via multi-level client/AP isolation and supports the secure and interference-free data exchange with the Internet. Unauthorized access is prevented both to end devices that have dialed into the same access point and across devices to end devices that are logged into different Westermo Eltec access points.
The access point is designed according to the international standard EN 50155. Components have to meet the strictest environmental requirements, e.g. an extended temperature range. In addition, they must be resilient to shocks and vibrations.
